Devran College students concerned about Gaza
A group of concerned students from Devran College of Istanbul contributed to Gaza aid campaign by donating their allowances to the Palestinians through the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation.
Palestine, MiddleEast 06.01.2009

The 11,165 Turkish liras and $220 was handed to the IHH officials to be extended to the distressed Palestinians.

"The schools and homes of our brothers and sisters in Gaza are being hit. They cannot attend school. They do not have anything to eat; water is limited. They are really in a dire situation. We decided to do something for them. Every student in the school donated a certain amount from their allowances to the campaign. Our parents also contributed. We are now sending this money to our fellow Muslims in Gaza through the IHH," the students said.
