Ramadan brought blessings of fraternity, sharing and solidarity.
After completing food packs distributions in eastern and southeastern provinces, aid workers of the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation began giving food packs to needy families in the Black Sea region.
The aid packs dispatched from Istanbul were distributed in the provinces of Kastamonu, Sinop, Samsun, Ordu, Trabzon and Artvin as part of the Ramadan campaign.
A food pack usually contains basic food items such as cooking oil, sugar, flour, pulses, macaroni, olives, instant soup, salt, tea, canned food, jam, sauce, etc.
Osman Atalay, member of the IHH executive board, urged charitable people to donate in order to reach out to more needy families. He noted the cost of a food pack was 60 Turkish liras (TL).
“We have set the cost of clothing an orphan as TL 70, a fast-breaking dinner as TL 5, and stationery aid to needy students as TL 25. We are aiming to reach out to 1 million people in Ramadan with zakat, alms, sadaqah donations from benevolent people,” he said.
You can put a smile on the faces of less fortunate Muslims and earn their well-wishes by donating.
