The crisis surrounding Syrian refugees escalate everday. The bodies of drowned children washed up on beaches shows the most tragic part of the crisis. Regardless of religion, language and race, it is the duty of humanity to reach out to help Syrians who are mostly children, women and elderly.
Many refugee boats horrificly crashed and sank off due to adverse weather conditions which caused many refugees got drowned.
As IHH we would like to call on Syrian refugees who are trying to go to Europe: it is much safer to use overland route than to go by the sea in order to protect the lives of their wives and children.
We would like to call on Turkey to open the border to allow them safe passage to Europe. The right of refugees to seek asylum is protected by all international agreements and laws.
We would like to remind the administration of European countries and European Union that they cannot avoid taking legal and human reponsibility by labeling the refugee crisis as migrant crisis. It is your legal reponsibility to open the borders and deliver humanitarian aid which is required by human rights and law. We expect the European nations and NGOs to take necessary actions.
Lastly, we would like to note that we will keep doing our best of efforts to deliver humanitarian relief aid to the internally displaced people in Syria, as well as Syrian refugees in neibouring countries, on the road and in the borders of Europe. We would like to invite our people to join helping out refugee families.
