Eid clothing to orphans in 22 provinces
IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation distributed clothing to 7465 orphan children ahead of the Muslim feast Eid al-Fitr. Thanks to the clothes they received, the orphans had a happy feast.
Turkey 18.08.2012

IHH extended its helping hand to orphan children at Eid al-Fitr in pre-designated countries and a number of provinces across Turkey.

Our aid teams in countries and regions around the world are giving priority to orphan children during relief activities as has been the case every year so far. IHH is aiming to provide clothing to thousands of orphans worldwide in order to help them spend a happy holiday and forget their orphanhood even if for a while. To this end, our teams are offering assistance to orphans both in dozens of countries and a number of provinces in Turkey.

Eid clothing was distributed to 7465 orphan children in 22 provinces across Turkey.

A group of IHH aid workers and volunteers visited 22 provinces across Turkey in the Ramadan month and distributed clothing to 7465 orphan children. The cities and towns where Eid clothing was distributed are Konya, Adıyaman, Siirt, Adana, Ankara, Bursa, Gaziantep, Kahramanmaraş, Kayseri, Sakarya, Şanlıurfa, Tatvan, Van, Ağrı, Batman, Elazığ, Erzurum, Erzincan, Antalya, Zonguldak, Uşak, and İstanbul.

Young orphan children receiving the gifts from charitable people who heeded our call “You, too, can make them happy by buying them clothes for Eid” and donated expressed their gratitude over the help and prayed for the donors.

The cost of clothing a child is 45 USD.
