Emergency Aid to Haiti Hit by Hurricane Matthew
IHH Humanitarian Relief Organization distributed food, water and medications to the victims of Hurricane Matthew in Haiti.
Haiti 13.10.2016

IHH Humanitarian Relief Organization distributed food, water and medications to the victims of Hurricane Matthew in Haiti.

While the number of casualties is more than 800 over 10.000 people are displaced as the hurricane hit their homes. Some areas are still out of reach due to the catastrophic damage of the hurricane. The survivors lack food supplies. Due to heavy rain and strong winds cholera and other diseases are likely to spread among the survivors.

One of the main bridges on the highway between the capital Port-Au-Prince and Miragoâne had collapsed. Nonetheless IHH has figured out alternative roads and delivered relief aid to the areas most affected by the hurricane.

Through its partner organization in Haiti IHH has started delivering food, water and medications to the families affected by Hurricane Matthew.
