Evacuations From Aleppo Completed
Approximately 45 thousand of people were evacuated from Aleppo according to the deal with the related parties. IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation welcomed the evacuees with emergency aid materials.

Approximately 45 thousand of people were evacuated from Aleppo according to the deal with the related parties. IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation welcomed the evacuees with emergency aid materials.

IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation welcomed the people who obliged to migrate from Aleppo in the harsh winter conditions in Rashideen region. In this scope, emergency aid teams of IHH delivered the food aid packs to the evacuees who came from Aleppo.

Apart from emergency aid teams, Allience of International Doctors (AID) teams were responded the emergency health situations and dispatched the wounded people to Turkey.

A Thousand People Tent Camp waits for the Evacuees

IHH board member Izzet Sahin who had been in Rashideen to organize the process in the region stated that a tent city for thousand people was ready and the evacuees will be placed there as the soonest time possible. Sahin stressed that IHH’s helps for the refugees will continue. He also added that “25 buses and 700 cars have come here, we hope that no more people left in Aleppo.”

The Syrians who waited long hours in the meeting point in harsh weather waiting for their relatives from Aleppo became happy when get together again.

On the other side, rebel controlled Shia villages Fua and Kefraya were also evacuated according to the agreement. IHH helped to the evacuees from Fua and Kefraya villages in the same manner.

While the IHH Search and Rescue Teams pulled 2,934 deceased and injured people from the rubble, emergency aid volunteers delivered support to hundreds of thousands of people in many different areas.

IHH is at the earthquake zone with a 3,359 person team
Search and rescue efforts continue in the areas affected by the earthquake. 65 search and rescue teams of IHH, consisting of 1447 people, are working together with 2 search and rescue dogs. IHH also continues its aid efforts in other ways such as providing food, shelter and clothing through an emergency aid distribution team consisting of 1728 people. IHH Chairman Bülent Yıldırım, Executive Board Members and 184 coordination officers are also in the earthquake area.
