Flash development in Mavi Marmara case

The objection against the arrest of Israeli commanders made by the lawyers on behalf of Israel was rejected. Uğur Yıldırım a lawyer in the Mavi Marmara case, made a statement in regards to this developments.

Lawyer Uğur Yıldırım said; “Due to the routine there is a right to appeal. The Israeli commanders lawyers had made this objection in accordance to mandatory intervening. The court also ruled that it was not in place. The rejection decision goes to a higher court again so the same court that has given a decision does not give the decision. Again given by the superior court decision to reject, a Red Notice was sent to Ankara.”

The court that is in charge of the Mavi Marmara case, issued an arrest warrant for that periods General Staff Director Rau Aluf Gabiel Ashkenazi who is one of the four accused. The court also asked to give red notices.

As a result of the collaboration between the İHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs' Syria Cross-Border Humanitarian Fund (SCHF), a total of 371,475 USD in cash assistance and 3,450 food parcels were distributed over the period of 9 months to 1,150 families living in the Racu region of Afrin district in Syria.
