IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation delivered hot meals to people quarantined as a part of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) measures in Gaza that is still under blockade. IHH also provided financial assistance to victims of the fire that broke out in the market of the Nusayrat Refugee Camp area.
In a statement by IHH Gaza Office Press Representative Mahmud al-Sherfa, he explained that IHH teams distributed hot meals for 400 people who returned from abroad and were placed in quarantine centers as a precaution measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19. This was IHH’s third hot meal delivery for the quarantined people. Al-Sherfa added that cash was also distributed to the families of those who died or were injured in the fire that occurred in March in the market of the Nusayrat Refugee Camp area.
IHH will continue to deliver humanitarian aid to those kept under quarantine as long as needed.
