Good Neighbors International visited IHH the earthquake-affected regions.
Good Neighbors International, a South Korean organization and partner of IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, visited Istanbul and the earthquake-affected regions.

The delegation from Good Neighbors, consisting of David Kim (Head of Consulting Team), Oliver Choi (Deputy Director), and Hailey Kim (Social Worker), met with M. Talha Keskin and Mustafa Demir, members of the IHH Board of Directors, as well as coordinators and representatives from the International Relations Department and Domestic Aid Department at the IHH headquarters. 

During the meeting, the two organizations discussed their current collaborations and potential joint projects. After the meeting at the IHH headquarters, the visiting delegation visited the IHH Disaster Management Department at the Tuzla Emre Local Disaster Management Center, where they were given presentations on IHH's Disaster Management and Disaster Academy activities. They also toured the 8,000 square meter warehouse facility.

Humanitarian aid efforts in earthquake regions.

As part of the visit, the Good Neighbors delegation, together with IHH International Relations Department officials, traveled to the earthquake-affected regions. They visited a container city in the Antakya district of Hatay and a clothing store affiliated with the Kahramanmaraş Humanitarian Aid Association to distribute aid materials previously procured by the visiting organization. In the following days, they also visited container cities and homes in Adıyaman, Kahramanmaraş, and Malatya, distributing aid supplies.

Discussions were held about planned projects

After the field visits, the IHH and Good Neighbors delegations reconvened in Istanbul to review the humanitarian aid efforts and exchange ideas on planned new projects.

IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation built a mosque in Yumbe district, 550 kilometers from the capital of Uganda. In the same region, the foundation of the Quran Education Center, where 108 students can study at the same time, was laid, while the construction of a mosque and a water well started in Mpambiri village, 25 kilometers away from the capital.

1,400 families in Syria find their new homes in the City of Hope
IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation and Qatar Charity Organization established “City of Hope” in Tukli village in Azaz region of Syria where 1400 families affected by the civil war will reside. Families who have been staying in Babusselam Refugee Camp under difficult conditions for many years continue to move to the village.
