3 volunteer physicians head for Haiti
The IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation sent a team of eight persons, including three volunteer doctors, to Haiti. The doctors will perform examinations and surgeries of earthquake survivors.

Surgeons Ali Alemdar and Girani and emergency physician Ali Yalçın will join relief campaign in Haiti, which was hit by a 7.0-magnitude earthquake.  

The team flew from Istanbul airport to the Dominican Republic on 21 January. They will travel from the Dominican Republic to Haiti by land and join health campaign on 22 January.  

IHH aid teams have so far distributed 50 tons of emergency relief materials in Haiti. Earthquake survivors are being given water and food; 700 orphan children are provided with hot food three times a day.   

The people of Turkey are urged to extend their support to increase aid shipments to Haiti. You can help alleviate with your donations the suffering of relatives of the victims and those who lost their homes to the earthquake.
