IHH carried out its 2022 Qurban activities in 60 countries, including Turkey, with the slogan "A Share of Happiness." Our donors chose where they wanted to have their Qurban from the countries listed in IHH’s 2022 Qurban organization.

65 thousand 775 Qurbani shares

IHH delivered 65,775 Qurbani shares to those in need on behalf of the donors. The meat was distributed to 526 thousand families totaling 2 million 630 thousand beneficiaries, hence exceeding last year’s number at a total of 62 thousand 62 Qurbani shares to 2 million 482 thousand 480 beneficiaries.

IHH teams, who went all over the world for the Qurban activities to support their brothers and sisters who were waiting for them, didn’t just deliver meat but also aimed to see how the Foundation could improve their living conditions through future development projects.

States must do what is necessary to stop the massacres in Gaza
A press conference titled “The Genocide Continues: Don’t Forget Gaza!” was held by the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation. Speaking at the conference, IHH Secretary General Ahmet Göksun stated, “Just as states managed to stop the Israel-Iran war within 12 days, they must also do everything in their power to stop the massacres in Gaza. They owe this to humanity.” To the many journalists that attended the press conference held at the IHH headquarters, the first speaker, IHH Board of Trustees Member İzzet Şahin, emphasized that a great genocide and massacre is taking place in Gaza: “According to the US’ own admissions, bombs equivalent to the power of 6 nuclear bombs have been dropped on Gaza. The massacres in Gaza continue to take place. The blockade must be lifted immediately. For nearly 20 years, an unprecedented blockade has been imposed on Gaza. There were times when not even a glass of water could enter. Moreover, violence is used against civilians trying to break the blockade. Ships set out and are attacked in international waters. Others try to break the blockade by land and are prevented. If you are going to prevent these aid efforts, then you should deliver humanitarian aid yourselves. You must lift the blockade yourselves.”
