The IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation carried out incessant relief efforts for civilians affected by the ongoing fight between troops and rebels in Libya when popular protest movements called Arab Spring, first erupted in Tunisia, spread to Libya. The foundation delivered a wide range of relief supplies from food items to medicinal materials to Libyans. The IHH worked in the towns that saw fierce fighting.

Turkish consul in Benghazi Ali Davutoğlu and the National Transitional Council gave in a ceremony IHH Libya coordinator Rafet Aydoğdu with a certificate of appreciation for the foundation’s relief efforts in Libya.
