IHH launched an aid campaign after the flood in Bosnia
Due to the heavy rains that have been continuing for a week in Bosnia-Herzegovina, a flood disaster occurred in the Bihac region. Many houses, workplaces and agricultural lands were submerged in the flood. IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation delivered food and hygiene packages to 165 families affected by the flood with the emergency aid relief it started.

In the floods caused by the overflow of the Uno River, 400 houses and workplaces were submerged and many agricultural areas were flooded. A state of emergency was declared by the Ministry of Civil Defence. While residents of flooded Bosnian homes were evacuated to various locations, cleansing operations continued.

Support for 165 families

Following the flood disaster, IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation has started relief efforts in the region. Within the scope of the efforts, food and hygiene packages were distributed to 165 families affected by the flood.

According to the statement made by the Bosnia and Herzegovina Ministry of Civil Defence; products such as drinking water, food, hygiene packages, sand sacks, water extraction pumps, moisture extraction pumps, inflatable boats and paint materials are needed.

4.5 Million People Affected by Devastating Flood in Bangladesh
In Bangladesh approximately 4.5 million people have been affected by severe flooding caused by intense monsoon rains and the opening of dam gates in India. With hundreds of people being reported missing and at least 15 confirmed dead, IHH swiftly initiated its emergency relief efforts. As the first phase of the aid project, we distributed hot meals, dry food, and emergency aid supplies to 1,000 families.
