Syrian people have been undergoing very difficult days due the 20-month-long conflict in Syria. The number of relief items needed by Syrian increases with the advent of the winter. IHH, which has been at Syrian people’s side since the beginning of the unrest in Syria, continues to help the victims of the conflict.

IHH aid teams have recently visited the healthcare centers in Reyhanlı with the accompany of guests from a Libyan aid organization. During these visits, 180 gift cards and 50 blankets have been left to the healthcare centers.

Syrian refugees will be able to use the gift cards at supermarkets and buy things they need.

In addition, IHH aid teams delivered blankets, hygiene packages, medicine and electrical heaters to the healthcare centers in Hatay.

Aid delivered to 150 families

Besides, food packages and gift cards were also delivered to the Syrians in the surroundings of Hatay who lost their family members in the attacks of the Syrian regime.

Food packages delivered to the Syrians include pasta, rice, bulgur, dried beans, lentil, olive, tomato paste, sugar, cooking oil etc.

Thirty stoves were also delivered to the Syrians as part of IHH’s winter relief efforts.

Search and rescue efforts continue in the areas affected by the earthquake. 65 search and rescue teams of IHH, consisting of 1447 people, are working together with 2 search and rescue dogs. IHH also continues its aid efforts in other ways such as providing food, shelter and clothing through an emergency aid distribution team consisting of 1728 people. IHH Chairman Bülent Yıldırım, Executive Board Members and 184 coordination officers are also in the earthquake area.
