Organised to accelerate digital transformation in the Arab world, the forum kicked off at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies. Held in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Doha Institute, the event was attended by numerous government officials, policymakers, experts and representatives from the private sector, academia and development organisations.

Scheduled to last two days, the forum explored how digital technologies and artificial intelligence could contribute more to the economic and social development of Arab countries.

Various topics were discussed.

These included digital infrastructure, internet connectivity, data management, public digital infrastructure, smart systems and applications, artificial intelligence management and digital payments.

Participants also shared their views on increasing the exchange of experiences among Arab countries and on beginning to prepare national roadmaps to implement their digital transformation goals.

Numerous Meetings Held by IHH

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in collaboration with the Ooredoo Group, has developed a digital policy framework for Arab countries. This framework is intended to help governments identify their digital transformation priorities and formulate secure, inclusive and sustainable policies.

Representatives of IHH who attended the forum held numerous meetings aimed at strengthening institutional relations.
