IHH Participated in the Humanitarian Leadership Conference in Doha
IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation participated in the Humanitarian Leadership Conference held in Doha, the capital of Qatar.

The conference focused on developing leadership approaches in the global humanitarian aid sector, strengthening crisis management, and enhancing international cooperation.

Held on April 8–9 in Doha, the conference brought together public institutions, non-governmental organizations, academics, and field workers from various countries. Key topics included the role of leadership in humanitarian crises, support for local capacity, ethical principles in disaster response, and strategies for sustainable humanitarian aid.

Information Exchange Took Place

Participants had the opportunity to discuss potential future collaborations and share knowledge in the field of humanitarian aid.

The conference also featured suggestions and examples on building effective cooperation with local communities, applying leadership skills in crisis settings, and creating long-term impact through aid efforts.

Representatives from IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation were present at the event. Irfan Tatlı from IHH’s International Relations Department gave a presentation in one of the panel sessions titled “Humanitarian Aid in the Shadow of Hierarchy: The Impact of Global Power Dynamics on the Emergence of Multiple Crises.”

The knowledge and experiences gained during the conference are expected to contribute to international projects.
