For a while, the foundation has been carrying out emergency relief efforts in the country which has been the scene of anti-government protests over the past eight months. The Yemeni military is continuing operations to crack down on the anti-government protestors.

Violence between the security forces and anti-government protestors in Sanaa is increasing day by day. Despite interventions from the security forces, Yemeni protestors are refusing to leave the “Change Square.” Those who are injured in the demonstrations are treated at the medical centers close to the Change Square; however, the medical center lacks the necessary medical equipments for the emergency treatment of the injured. The X-ray machine donated by the IHH to the medical center in Yemen will make the treatment process of the injured more speedy.
