IHH, Hidayah Foundation provide relief to Van
IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation has made a special agreement with Hidayah Foundation which is run by Muslims in the US.
Turkey 18.05.2012

IHH and Hidayah Foundation took relief to 56 orphan families in eastern province of Van which was shaken by powerful quakes last year.

The foundations gave TL200 to the mothers of each of 56 orphans, TL100 to orphans below the age of 13 and TL125 to orphans above the age of 13.

Receiving their gifts, all the orphan families we visited underwent emotional moments and expressed their happiness over Muslims’ extending a helping hand to them from far away.

Osman Ergene, a representative from the Hidayah Foundation, who took part in the aid delivery, voiced his pleasure over cooperating with the IHH. Ergene said such joint relief projects should continue adding that the two foundations will develop projects for the construction of playing fields and facilities for children in Van.
