What is Cataract ?
Cataract, which is known to be a sickness mostly seen in old people around the world, is a clouding of the lens inside the eye and it causes blindness unless treated.
In Africa, due to hot weather, malnutrition and climate many people get cataract and lose their eyesight at young age. Lack of eye doctors and opportunities adds to this and many patients in rural areas are condemned to darkness without getting chance of a surgery. Cataract’s only treatment is through surgery. There is no other way of treatment.
Those who would like to support this project can sponsor the surgery of one patient and restore his/her eyesight by donating 150 liras. Others can also support the project with any smaller amount they would like to donate.
