Nearly all schools in Gaza have become unusable due to attacks by the Israeli occupation forces. As a result of the widespread destruction, Palestinian students in Gaza have been deprived of access to education. In addition to providing humanitarian assistance in areas such as food, shelter, water, hygiene, and healthcare, the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation continues its efforts to support education. Following the opening of its first field school in February, IHH has now inaugurated a second field school in Gaza.
Education for 864 Students
The newly opened Abu Bakr Field School consists of eight classrooms. The school can accommodate 288 students at a time and operates in three separate daily shifts, enabling a total of 864 students to receive an education.
As Israeli attacks have also targeted schools, rendering much of Gaza's educational infrastructure inoperable, the field schools established by IHH play a vital role in helping meet the urgent educational needs of children in Gaza.

After opening its first field school in February 2026, IHH has now inaugurated its second field school and continues its humanitarian efforts in Gaza.
