The IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation has participated in the AidEx Fair—one of the world’s most important gatherings in the field of humanitarian aid and development—for four consecutive years. The fair was held on October 21–22, 2026, at the PalExpo Convention Center in Geneva, Switzerland. The foundation welcomed visitors at its E03 stand, which it opened for the fourth time. Partnerships formed at such platforms, which bring together international organizations, help ensure that aid reaches those in need more effectively and on a broader scale. IHH also contributes to making Turkish civil society more visible on the international humanitarian aid stage by leading the way for many Turkish institutions to participate in AidEx.
“We plan to launch new projects with many organizations in Geneva”
Speaking in Geneva, IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation Secretary-General Ahmet Göksun said, “Today is the final day of AidEx in Geneva. Over the past two days, we’ve met with representatives from organizations across the globe and had the opportunity to get to know new partners. We discussed collaborations, and we plan to launch many more wonderful projects with various organizations in the coming period. We also met once again with our colleagues to consult on the projects we’ve carried out previously. From our perspective, this was a very important event. We thank everyone for their participation.”

“We are in Geneva to reach those in need on the ground”
Mustafa Özbek, Vice President of the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, highlighted the importance of the program, stating, “As the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, we are here at the AIDEX Fair in Geneva. As IHH, we have been actively working in war-torn and crisis-stricken regions since 1992. We carry out our activities in 123 countries around the world. Since we operate across such a vast geographical area, we collaborate with organizations in many parts of the world. Today, here at this fair in Geneva—in an environment where the United Nations and humanitarian aid organizations are heavily represented—we are strengthening our partnerships. We are monitoring developments. “Here, we are building new networks, and together with these networks, we are working with all our partners to expand our operations to a broader geographic area and take them to the next level. That is why it is important to be here. We are carrying out these efforts together to take IHH’s impact to the next level, strengthen our partnerships, and reach people in need on the ground,” he said.

AidEx Brings Together the Global Humanitarian Community
AidEx is recognized as one of the leading events in the fields of humanitarian aid, disaster response, and international development. The fair brings together UN agencies, the European Union, the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, civil society organizations, governments, and the private sector. With over 3,000 delegates in attendance, the fair features not only an exhibition area but also conferences, workshops, and discussion forums. The program serves as a platform where solutions to global humanitarian challenges are discussed and new partnerships are forged among organizations.

Türkiye’s representatives in Geneva visited the IHH booth
Ambassador Hakan Çakıl, Türkiye’s Permanent Representative to the World Trade Organization (WTO), and Salih Boğaç Güldere, Consul General in Geneva, visited the IHH stand at the exhibition. The visit took place following an invitation sent to Türkiye’s diplomatic missions in Geneva prior to the event. During the visit, information was provided about the Foundation’s field operations and international partnerships.
The Foundation delegation also met with representatives of UN agencies, donors, and international civil society organizations throughout the exhibition. Discussions focused on existing partnerships and new opportunities for collaboration.

IHH’s Collaboration with UN Agencies Continues
IHH holds consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). Since 2020, the Foundation has implemented projects totaling approximately $6.2 million under OCHA’s Syria Cross-Border Humanitarian Assistance Fund. In collaboration with the World Food Program (WFP), it has implemented a project worth approximately $19 million for hot meals and nutrition in Gaza during the 2024–2026 period.
IHH once again represented Türkiye’s strength in the field of humanitarian aid at AidEx. The foundation also demonstrated its determination to transform its field experience into international cooperation.
