IHH Remembers 2.5 million needy people on Eid al-Adha
This year, IHH delivered 62.062 qurban donation shares to almost 2.5 million people in 65 countries including Turkey. IHH also distributed eid clothing to 61.000 orphans. A total of 2.482.480 people benefitted from this aid. IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation carried out this year’s qurban organization with the slogan “Remember Them on Eid al-Adha.” IHH launched its first qurban project via proxy when a group of charitable people came together in 1993; the foundation has been delivering aid to millions of people with its qurban operations for the past 29 years. The qurbans donated by our donors that were sacrificed in the countries of their choice.

What did we do?

For 2021 Eid al-Adha, IHH delivered qurban donations to people in 65 countries including Turkey. IHH teams that traveled around the world on the occasion of Eid al-Adha not only distributed qurban meat to their brothers and sisters in need, but will also continue to support these people with various projects aimed at improving the living conditions in these regions.

Our teams remembers 184.000 needy people in Turkey

IHH did not forget those in need in Turkey.IHH delivered qurban meat to 165.360 people living in different regions of Turkey. Our foundation also distributed eid clothing to 19.044 orphans in Turkey.

Orphans welcomed the eid with joy

IHH also distributed eid clothing to a total of 61.836 orphans and deprived people in 19 other countries.

Regions of crisis were given priority

For this year’s qurban, our foundation gave priority to the refugee camps, regions suffering from war, natural disasters, chronic famine and poverty, the elderly, orphans, widows, orphanages, schools and hospitals. In this scope, priority was given to Syria, Iraq, Palestine, Somalia, Yemen, Bangladesh, Arakan and East Turkistan.

West Africa: Chad, Cameroon, Mali, Benin, Togo, Niger, Sierra Leone, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Mauritania, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Guinea.

East Africa: Burundi, Ethiopia, Uganda, Malawi, Sudan, Somalia, Tanzania, Kenya, South Africa, Mozambique, Eswatini and Djibouti.

South Asia: Bangladesh, Myanmar (Arakan), Pakistan, Indonesia, Thailand (Patani), India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Philippines (Bangsomoro) and Vietnam.

Central Asia:  Mongolia, Crimea, Georgia (Ajara), Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan.

Middle East: Yemen, Palestine, Iraq, Lebanon, Iran and Tunisia.

Europe-America: Hungary, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, Albania, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia (Sanjak and Preshova), Haiti, Colombia, Venezuela, Romania, Ecuador and Bolivia.

Mobile soup kitchen from Turkey to Ukraine
The mobile soup kitchen dispatched by the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation to Ukraine, which is under Russian bombardment, departed from Istanbul. The soup kitchen was intended to provide food to 30,000 people each day. In addition, three truckloads of humanitarian supplies provided to Ukraine by the IHH in recent weeks have been delivered to war victims.
