IHH sends 4.500 aid trucks to Syria

Number of aid trucks sent by IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation which delivers donations made from home and abroad to various parts of Syria has so far reached four thousand and five hundred.

Since day one the civil war unfolded in Syria IHH has been delivering aid to the Syrians which amounted to four thousand five hundred truckloads of humanitarian aid that is distributed to the families in need.

IHH is delivering aid carried by the trucks to the districts like Damascus, Aleppo, Hama, Humus, İdlib where the clashes are going on.

The take-off point of the aid trucks is IHH logistics offices in Reyhanlı and Kilis.

IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation delivers aids funded by donations from Turkey and many other countries to the Syrian people regardless of religion, race or language. It is supported by 30 countries and over 50 national and international NGOs.

While the IHH Search and Rescue Teams pulled 2,934 deceased and injured people from the rubble, emergency aid volunteers delivered support to hundreds of thousands of people in many different areas.

Search and rescue efforts continue in the areas affected by the earthquake. 65 search and rescue teams of IHH, consisting of 1447 people, are working together with 2 search and rescue dogs. IHH also continues its aid efforts in other ways such as providing food, shelter and clothing through an emergency aid distribution team consisting of 1728 people. IHH Chairman Bülent Yıldırım, Executive Board Members and 184 coordination officers are also in the earthquake area.
