IHH continues to carry out relief efforts for Syrians who had to flee their homes due to the acts of violence in the country which began in March 2011 and took refuge in countries such as Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey.
The 50-member IHH aid team in Kilis is carrying a wide range of relief activities for Syrian refugees which include delivery of hot meals and provision of medical care.
Aid delivered to 400 refugee families
IHH has stepped up its efforts to take relief to Syrian refugees over the past three months. As part of its relief efforts, the IHH has provided food and basic needs of the refugees in addition to giving them some financial assistance.
Aid items delivered to the Syrian refugees include food packages, refrigerators, ventilators, mattress, carpet, metal cupboard, mobile cupboard, bed, pillow, mat sheet, blanket, curtain, bedlinen, thermos bottle, laundry basin, propane cylinder and cooker, basic cleaning supplies, diapers, hygiene sets, kitchen utensils (saucepan/ frying pan), tray, traditional table and other kitchen supplies.
IHH has also set up 14 mobile toilets and 14 bathrooms for Syrians who live under very difficult circumstances in Kilis near Syrian border.
In addition, IHH mobile kitchen also delivers hot meals to 5,000 Syrian refugees on the Syrian side of the Kilis Öncüpınar Border Gate two times a day.
The foundation is planning to offer mobile medical services to refugees at Kilis Öncüpınar Border Gate after Hatay-Reyhanlı. IHH will offer free medical screenings to the refugees and provide free treatment and medicine to them.
