The attacks on Iran that began in March 2026 have resulted in a heavy toll across the country. According to official reports, more than 3.2 million people were forced to flee their homes due to internal displacement, while numerous healthcare facilities—particularly hospitals and clinics—sustained severe damage and were rendered inoperable.
“People are waiting for our aid”
Yakup Alaca from the IHH Media Unit, speaking about the aid efforts, emphasized the urgency in the region and stated: “As the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, we are continuing our humanitarian aid efforts for the people of neighboring Iran. Unfortunately, the Israeli and American attacks have caused massive destruction in Iran’s major cities. 3.2 million people have been displaced. These people are waiting for our aid. As IHH, we are providing a truckload of medical supplies to address the shortages in the healthcare sector. Additionally, we are sending a total of seven trucks of humanitarian aid materials—including food, hygiene, and shelter supplies—to Iran.”

“Our goal is to reach 50 trucks”
Recalling that IHH had previously sent four trucks of humanitarian aid to Iran, Alaca said, “Alhamdulillah, that aid was delivered to families in need. With these trucks, the total will reach 11. “Our campaign continues. Our goal is to reach 50 trucks in the first phase. We would like to thank our donors who are supporting the Iranian people. May God accept the aid you have sent,” he said.

Following the send-off ceremony, the aid trucks set off toward the border crossing to be delivered to the Iranian people affected by the attacks.
