IHH opens bakery for Syrians with a capacity to produce 200,000 loaves of bread
IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, which has taken various aid to the oppressed people of Syria since the start of the unrest in the country, has opened a bakery in the country.
MiddleEast, Syria, Turkey 10.05.2013

The bakery will process 20 tons of flour every day and produce 200,000 loaves of bread. The bread produced by the bakery will be sent to provinces such as Idlib, Aleppo and Hama where there is no bread production and people suffer from misery.

IHH Syria Coordinator Muhammet Yorgancıoğlu said the extent of the humanitarian crisis in Syria has gone beyond tolerable levels.

“Bakeries are hit in Syria, people are massacred as they wait in lines for bread. There are bakeries which we opened in inner parts of Syria and we continue to provide flour. In addition, we will produce bread in the new bakery and send the bread to hospitals and refugee camps in Hatay, Reyhanlı and to provinces such as Aleppo, Hama and Homs. The bakery has a capacity to produce 200,000 loaves of bread daily. We will produce this amount of bread as much as possible and take them to people. Our Syrian sisters and brothers will at least be able to eat bread.”

You can also serve a loaf of bread to your Syrian neighbors who live on the hunger threshold by making donations for them
