Humanitarian aid efforts for the war-torn Syria are ongoing. İHH continues to support war-affected civilians in various parts of Syria through offices and logistics centers established in the country, providing assistance in areas such as food, health, shelter, and education.

Following the successful joint-projects in Syria with the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, İHH has added yet another joint effort in the field of food security and livelihoods. The aid in the "Assisting the Most Vulnerable people in North-West Syria with Cash and In-Kind Food Support" project, carried out in collaboration with the UN and the SCHF, has reached thousands of people. The project was launched on December 1, 2023, and it continued uninterrupted for 9 months until August 31, 2024. During the project, cash assistance was distributed 5 times, while in-kind aid was distributed 3 times.

A total of 371,475 USD in cash assistance was provided to 1,150 families living in 4 villages and 11 different camps in the Racu region of Afrin district. Every family received 325 USD in each cash assistance.

As for in-kind aid, a total of 3,450 food parcels were distributed over 3 months, in which 1,150 parcels distributed monthly. Each food parcel contained 15 kg of flour, 5 kg of rice, 5 kg of pasta, 5 kg of bulgur, 6 kg of red lentils, 5 kg of lentils, 6 kg of chickpeas, 1 kg of salt, 5 kg of sugar, and 5 liters of vegetable oil. Additionally, 227 families with elderly or disabled members were provided extra support for market access.

A total of 5,510 people across the 1,150 families have benefited directly from the project.
