IHH continues to carry out relief efforts for Syrian people who have been fighting against hunger and water shortage in addition to attacks over the past three years. Taking relief which has a total cost of TL150 million since the start of the public unrest in the country, IHH continues its relief efforts at full speed.

Speaking at the news conference held at IHH’s Syria Studies Coordination and Logistics Center, IHH Secretary-General Yaşar Kutluay said: “We have been at the side of Syrian people for the past three years. We have done our best to meet their needs for food, accommodation and medicine during this period.”

Noting that attacks on Syrians get more violent each and every passing day, Kutluay underlined the tyranny in Syria, saying: “We all have seen the efforts of infants who tried hard to take a breath after they were attacked by chemical weapons.”

“I want our charity givers, Turkish people and the people of the world to keep Syria, Syrian children and Syrian women in mind. They need our help,” he said, adding that those who want to make donations for Syria could contact with IHH.

For his part, AID’s Secretary-General Sheikh Ali Bin Halid Al Hejiri said people of Turkey and Qatar are with the people of Syria. “Until today, we have taken a lot of aid to the region’s people. With the 12 truckloads of aid items, there will be food in the kitchens of 15,500 families,” he said.
