Caring for 24,050 orphans through its “Sponsor Family System,” IHH sent aid teams to Kazakhstan on the occasion of the Orphan Solidarity Days.
IHH teams visited Almaty first which suffer from harsh winter circumstances. In Almaty, the aid teams delivered clothing and stationery supplies to the students of the schools in the city center while needy families in the villages were provided with coal.
After Almaty, IHH teams travelled to Cimkent and Turkistan where they visited the orphans and presented them various relief items.
Central Asia played a big role in Anatolia’s becoming Muslim and it still provides support to the region in non-material ways.
IHH teams delivered stationery supplies to 100 orphans and clothing to 50 orphans in Kazakhstan in total.
In addition, families of 50 orphans who live in villages were provided with coal while 60 orphan families were provided with food aid by the IHH.
