IHH Provides Regular Support to 26,531 Orphaned Palestinian Children

The IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation is providing ongoing support to 26,531 orphaned children in Palestine through its Orphan Sponsorship Program. Following the events of October 7, an additional 10,000 orphaned children were identified and added to the program. Of these, 4,700 are still in need of sponsors.

IHH's Orphan Sponsorship Program operates in 43 countries reaching over 130,000 orphans with monthly assistance. Palestine is among the countries receiving aid, with IHH supporting orphans in Gaza and across the region for many years. Currently, 25,929 of the supported children are in Gaza.

355 Sponsored Orphans Killed Since October 7

Since October 7, 2023, 355 orphans supported by IHH have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza. Additionally, 283 mothers of sponsored children have lost their lives, leaving many children without both parents.

4,700 Gazan Orphans Still Await Sponsorship

In the aftermath of the attacks, IHH included 10,000 newly orphaned children into its sponsorship system. However, 4,700 of these children still lack sponsors. Since October 7, nearly 50,000 children have been orphaned in Palestine.

How to Become a Sponsor

The monthly sponsorship cost for one orphan is 800 Turkish Lira. Those wishing to support a child can apply via the IHH website or by calling +90 212 631 2121.
