IHH has launched emergency relief efforts for those living in Lebanon's refugee camps which was struck by snow and storm.

The heavy snowfall and storms which occurred in Lebanon, affected those living in refugee camps the most.

Many people have lost their lives due to the adverse weather conditions and harsh winter colds. IHH teams took immediate action and launched emergency relief work in Beirut, Tripoli, Akkar, Bekaa, Sidon and Jabal where many Palestinian and Syrian refuges reside.

Within this scope, the team will first distribute aid packages consisting of blankets, clothes and household goods to people living in camps where most people have lost their lives. 5 thousand families will benefit from the aid.

While the IHH Search and Rescue Teams pulled 2,934 deceased and injured people from the rubble, emergency aid volunteers delivered support to hundreds of thousands of people in many different areas.

Search and rescue efforts continue in the areas affected by the earthquake. 65 search and rescue teams of IHH, consisting of 1447 people, are working together with 2 search and rescue dogs. IHH also continues its aid efforts in other ways such as providing food, shelter and clothing through an emergency aid distribution team consisting of 1728 people. IHH Chairman Bülent Yıldırım, Executive Board Members and 184 coordination officers are also in the earthquake area.
