Teams from the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation have delivered relief to the refugees on the Burkina Faso- Mali border as part of their relief activities for the 2012 Eid al-Adha.
IHH teams delivered sacrificial meat to the refugees who sought shelter in Burkina Faso due to the ongoing political crisis in their country.
Traveling to Burkina Faso, IHH aid teams took relief to the refugees in Djibouti refugee camp on the Burkina Faso- Mali border. Making examinations at the camp where refugees of Tuareg and Arab origin live, IHH team members have found out that the number of refugees in the camp is rapidly increasing.
People living in the north side of Mali migrate to neighboring countries of Mauritania, Burkina Faso and Niger due to the political crisis which has begun this year in Mali.
According to UN data, 365,000 Malians have left their country and taken shelter in neighboring countries since January.
