IHH gave away stationery kits to Syrian children who live in tent camps, delivered teaching materials to the schools, and distributed school stuff to hundreds of children in two orphan schools enough to see each of them through the entire school term.
Thousands of children trying to continue their education against all odds in the war zone over the past four years are unable to complete their education due to practical impossibilities. There are hundreds of thousands of children trying to study in make shift schools, in tent-turned-classrooms, or in bombed and partially destroyed schools.
IHH teams geared up for the new school term of 2014-2015 and delivered thirty thousand stationery kits to Syrian children studying in tent camps inside Syria and in border towns. Also the schools received teaching materials such as blackboards, desks and benches.
IHH teams are also helping with the repair of schools damaged in bombings inside Syria. Four schools are already repaired and commenced classes.
Special distribution for 500 orphans
IHH Syria Department Orphan Unit has organized distribution of stationery kits to 500 orphans studying at schools like Shuhada’, Al BirriwaTaqwa and Ummahat al Muminin.
The kit contained items like school bag, notebook, pencil, eraser, pen, colour pencils, water colour and crayons that will see each student through an entire school term.
