IHH teams distributed food parcels to a thousand Turkmen families who are living in harsh conditions that had to escape from the province Salahaddin and take refuge in Kirkuk.

IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation continues to heal the wounds in Iraq with the support of charitable donors.

IHH is continuing on with their humanitarian aid work for one million civilians who have migrated and have become refugees after the clashes in different regions of the country due to ISIS led armed groups taking control of some cities like Mosul and Tikrit.

ONE MONTH SUPPLY OF FOOD AID 

So far IHH has aided Iraq with 20 humanitarian aid trucks, and now they have distributed a thousand families in Dahuk, Erbil and Kirkuk who have escaped from the conflict a month supply of food.

IRAQI TURKMENS CALL FOR HELP

Iraqi Turkmen Solidarity and Development Association official Vahbi Bez said that after the conflict that began in Iraq, IHH provided humanitarian assistance to seven thousand families in Kirkuk. Bez said that people are still fleeing from the conflict zones in Iraq and also mentioned that in the region as well as food supplies they need bedding, blankets and tents in the area.

While the IHH Search and Rescue Teams pulled 2,934 deceased and injured people from the rubble, emergency aid volunteers delivered support to hundreds of thousands of people in many different areas.

Search and rescue efforts continue in the areas affected by the earthquake. 65 search and rescue teams of IHH, consisting of 1447 people, are working together with 2 search and rescue dogs. IHH also continues its aid efforts in other ways such as providing food, shelter and clothing through an emergency aid distribution team consisting of 1728 people. IHH Chairman Bülent Yıldırım, Executive Board Members and 184 coordination officers are also in the earthquake area.
