Drinking water supply for Gazan students
Supplying water to Gazan schools that lack water due to collapse of region’s infrastructure by filtering ground water

The number of problems facing Palestinians is compounding. Gazan children are drinking ground water at school although this water is not fit for drinking. The result is proliferation of diseases among school age children. The monthly cost of filtered water for one school is about $200. The project is planned for five months and has a budget of $25,000. It will provide 18,650 people with healthy drinking water.

As a result of the collaboration between the İHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs' Syria Cross-Border Humanitarian Fund (SCHF), a total of 371,475 USD in cash assistance and 3,450 food parcels were distributed over the period of 9 months to 1,150 families living in the Racu region of Afrin district in Syria.
