In 2025, IHH reached tens of thousands of orphans around the world.
Throughout the year, the Orphan Unit of the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation carried out comprehensive work to meet the educational, housing and social needs of orphaned children through its activities around the world.

The IHH Orphan Unit continued to support orphaned children through projects carried out in various regions throughout the year. Work was carried out in many areas throughout the year, including orphanages, sponsorship systems, Ramadan and holiday activities, and education programmes.

Support was provided to 153,165 orphans.

Through its orphan support programmes, IHH provided assistance to 153,165 orphans worldwide, including 35,153 in Gaza. Additionally, services were provided to 2,773 orphaned children in 44 orphanages and children's life centres across nine countries.

Meals were served to 105,000 people during Ramadan.

As part of Ramadan activities, iftar and suhoor programmes were organised in 33 orphanages in eight countries. These programmes provided meals to approximately 105,000 people, with 810 iftars and 800 suhoors being served. A total of 2,472 orphaned children benefited from these activities.

Celebrations and orphan nights were also organised in many orphanages after iftar on the 15^(th) day of Ramadan, which is World Orphans Day. Furthermore, 23,165 holiday gifts were delivered to orphaned children in Türkiye and 26,609 abroad during Ramadan and Eid al-Adha.

Joint projects were carried out with young people, schools and institutions.

Support was provided to 108 orphaned children through work carried out in 56 institutions as part of the 'Orphans Entrusted to Youth' project. Under the Competing in Goodness Classes Project, 14,878 orphaned children received support from 5,459 schools.

Around 140,000 people were reached through 1,130 IYS presentations organised throughout Turkey. Additionally, 2,650 visits were made to NGOs, schools, and institutions. Within the scope of domestic fieldwork, visits were made to 136 provinces and districts.

The Foundation supported 14,300 orphaned children in Türkiye.

IHH supported 14,300 orphaned children through its work in Turkey. Furthermore, 36 income generation projects were implemented worldwide during the year, benefiting 3,856 people. Additionally, wedding ceremonies were held for 58 orphans in Pakistan. The newlyweds were presented with a dowry consisting of basic household items.

The IHH Orphanages Unit organised an Orphanage Administrators Training Programme on the theme of 'Human-Centred Leadership' between 30 July and 29 August 2025. Around 100 administrators from 35 orphanages in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Thailand/Patani, and the Philippines/Bangsamoro took part in the programme. The training sessions were held directly in the target countries.

To support IHH's orphanage work

Donors can contribute 30 TL by texting YETIM to 3072 or 180 TL by texting to 4072 from all operators. Those wishing to donate larger amounts can do so via the IHH website or by making a bank transfer with the reference ‘YETIM’.

IHH continues its work for orphans both domestically and internationally.

An agreement was signed between the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation and the Qatari organisation Centre for Conflict and Humanitarian Work Research to increase cooperation in the areas of humanitarian aid, humanitarian diplomacy and scientific research.
