Spanish Activists of the Freedom Flotilla II in Hunger Strike

Six people from Spanish boat "Gernika" from the initiative Freedom Flotilla II - Stay Human stay inside the Spanish Embassy in Athens since last Tuesday 5th of July as a protest for the blockade imposed by the Greek authorities to their boat, they are going to start a hunger strike non-ended today the 11th of July at 12 a.m. as a way to press the Spanish government to accelerate conversations with Greece in order to let sail the "Gernika" and put an end to the decree, that is against U.N Sea Law and Law of Free Transit in the European Union, of the imposed a blockade to the ship in Kolymvari, in the island of Crete. The six activists are being checked by a doctor, before they start to the strike.

The mobile soup kitchen dispatched by the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation to Ukraine, which is under Russian bombardment, departed from Istanbul. The soup kitchen was intended to provide food to 30,000 people each day. In addition, three truckloads of humanitarian supplies provided to Ukraine by the IHH in recent weeks have been delivered to war victims.
