IHH launched 2016 Ramadan Activities with ‘The Meaning of Brotherhood’ slogan

IHH, which has been setting iftar tables and distributing food hampers and food aid in Ramadan over the past 20 years, is planning to put a smile of the orphans’ faces this year too.

IHH teams are traveling to five continents in Ramadan to knock on the door of needy, refugee or orphans’ families and deliver aid so that the blessing of Ramadan reaches far ends of the globe.

IHH is conducting activities with ‘The Meaning of Brotherhood’ slogan this year while delivering alms, sadaqah and fitrah charities of donors to the needy in war zones, occupied areas or places hit by natural disasters.

Like every other year orphans and their families will be supported, will be invited to ‘orphans exclusive iftars’, will receive education and stationary aid, eid outfits, food hampers, and financial assistance where needed.

Iftars with Mobile Soup kitchens in 25 Cities

We will be serving iftar to 47.000 people across 25 cities mainly located in Eastern Turkey. Throughout the month our 88 teams of 420 people will deliver food aid to the tables of around 1.5 million people.

New Hotline for Fitrah (For Turkish GSM lines)

Donations made through sms to 4072 fitrah hotline will be delivered to the needy before the eid.

In 105 countries and territories around the world

During Ramadan IHH will deliver aid to the needy in 105 countries and territories and across 81 cities in Turkey. It will deliver a total of 180.000 aid boxes out of which 40 thousand will be delivered at home and 140.000 will be delivered abroad. The boxes contain food, cleaning supplies, textile, chocolates, toys and eid outfits for kids. In warzones like Idlib and Aleppo and refugee camps in Aleppo IHH will serve iftar and sahoor meals daily.

IHH has launched an aid campaign with the slogan “Winter is Coming, Don’t Leave Them Alone” for Syrians that are forced to live under extremely difficult winter conditions. As part of this campaign, 120 humanitarian aid trucks were sent off from Istanbul and various Anatolian cities to Syria.
