IHH carried out extensive humanitarian relief efforts in Libya where one of the most violent Arab uprisings took place. Officials from the foundation went to Libya which is trying to recover from the recent turmoil and visited some officials there. IHH officials also held talks with the officials from relief foundations in Libya during their visit.
At a meeting of the Unity Platform, an umbrella institution for 27 different relief foundations in Libya, IHH was given a certificate of appreciation for its support to Libyan people. After their meetings in Benghazi, IHH officials went to Beyda region where they attended a program organized by a foundation for disabled people. IHH officials came together with children at the foundation, presented donations to the disabled youths there and then held talks with some officials.
In the meantime, IHH officials paid visits to Turkish ambassador to Libya Ali Kemal Aydın and Turkish Cooperation and Development Agency’s (TİKA) Libya coordinator Halil İbrahim Okur and offered their thanks to them for their support to the IHH’s humanitarian relief activities in Libya.
Libyan administration which appreciated IHH’s humanitarian relief efforts in the country when Libya was undergoing its most difficult days, also offered their thanks to the IHH and its donators.
