IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation materialized a new project as part of its efforts to support the Pakistani people. IHH volunteers from the city of Bursa funded the construction of a mosque in Hamzawala, Muzaffargarh. The mosque, which is named 2. Abdulhamit Han, was inaugurated by officials from IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation and Bursa IHH.
Local residents also attended the opening ceremony. Speaking at the ceremony Bursa IHH chairman Hüseyin Kaptan underlined the fraternal ties between the peoples of Pakistan and Turkey. He thanked Bursa residents for financing the project and Hamzawala inhabitants for donating the land on which the mosque was built.
The mosque was opened with prayers following speeches. The IHH team walked the mosque and was briefed by IHH Pakistan country coordinator Mehmet Kara. Kara informed the group that a writing about the life story of Abdul Hamed II was hung at the entrance to the mosque and conveyed the thankful messages of the town people to IHH and its donators. The IHH team then performed the first prayers at the mosque communally.
A large madrasah is being constructed right next to the mosque. The Nail Erdoğa madrasah, which is expected to be completed in short time, will offer education to 100 students. The students will also make use of the mosque facilities.
