New surgeries performed in Al Jazirah, Sudan Cataract Campaign
A total of 114 cataract surgeries have been performed in Sudan’s Al Jazirah region as part of IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation’s Africa Cataract Project.

The Cataract Project in Sudan is jointly carried out by IHH and Sudan’s Al-Birr and Al-Tawasul Organization.
As part of the campaign, which was launched last year by IHH, a total of 12,000 cataract patients across the country will be offered free surgeries.
So far, 2,901 surgeries have been performed in Kassala, Al Qadarif, White Nile, River Nile, Simaliyah, North Kurdufan and Blue Nile regions in the country.
In the Al Jazirah leg of the campaign, 114 cataract patients were also offered free surgeries.
The campaign will continue with surgeries that will be performed in various parts of Sudan in upcoming months.
