Orphans who came to Turkey within the scope of the 6th International Children's meeting, organized by IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, have enjoyed their time in Istanbul as various programs were organized for them.
IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation has been supporting orphans as a part of the "Sponsor Family System" and has been uniting orphans from around the world with their International Children's meeting program since 2005.
This year 75 orphan children from Mauritania, Somalia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Albania, Yemen, Syria, Palestine, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan and Sri Lanka came to Istanbul for the 6th meet up.
AN UNFORGETTABLE DAY IN VIALAND
On Wednesday, within the scope of the 10 day program which has been organized for the orphans, 115 orphans including those from Turkey, were taken to Vialand entertainment center. They played games and went on various rides such as a carousel, safari tunnel, crazy river, Viking, dungeons and brave drivers. The children also danced with animators who were dressed in cartoon characters. Living an unforgettable day, you could see the happiness shinning through their eyes.
IMPORTANT VISITS
Since coming to Turkey on October 13th, the orphans visited the Istanbul Governorship with many media outlets such as Yenişafak, TV Net, Kanal 7, Ülke TV, Haber 7, Anadolu Ajansı, TRT, Yeni Akit, Kanal 24, Star, Sabah and Takvim. The orphans were also the guests of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's wife; Emine Erdogan, at their Cankaya Presidential Palace in Ankara.
In order to help the orphans to be herd and remind them that they are not alone, IHH organizes an International Children's Meeting every two years. This year they have organized the 6th International Children's Meeting.
