A water purification unit installed by the IHH in flood-stricken Pakistan meets the needs of the locals for clean and potable water.
The water purification unit installed by the IHH in Pakistan’s Sukkur province in the aftermath of the flood disaster in 2010 provides potable water to 30,000 families by filtering 9,000 gallons of water every month.
Installation of a water purification unit is one of the dozens of projects IHH carries out in Pakistan. The unit, named İstanbul Fountain and installed in June 2011 thanks to donations from Turkish charity givers, meets the need of Sukkur for clean water to a large extent.
