Palestine, Middle East, Turkey 02.01.2009

Ahmad Mohammad Bahr, deputy speaker for the Palestinian Parliament, thanked in a letter the people of Turkey and the IHH over their help, saying:

"Esteemed officials of the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation,

As the presidency of the Palestinian Legislative Council we greet you with the best of greetings, Allah's salam: May Allah's salam and blessing be upon you. We hope for your wellbeing.

As the presidency of the Palestinian Legislative Council we are glad to present heartfelt thanks and gratitude of the Palestinian people to you for extending humanitarian aid to Gaza and siding with us in these hard days.

The fact that you stand side by side with your fellow Palestinian Muslims alleviates the hardships we experience and increases our strength. Your helping proves that there are still good people within the Muslim ummah. We wish to note that the disadvantaged Palestinian people have a strong liking for you.

We hope Allah will bless you with his assistance in all relief activities you carry out for our Palestine. We request you to accept this letter as an expression of our heartfelt love and appreciation.

You brother

Dr. Ahmad Mohammad Bahr

(Deputy Speaker of the Palestinian Parliament)
