The dramatic situation of the Palestinians refugees who fled to Lebanon to escape the Israeli aggression is ongoing. They view Lebanon as their second country; however, they have lots of problems to be solved. Along with being the party that is affected the most from internal political conflicts of Lebanon the refugees are suffering from poverty and starvation.

Refugees residing in Nahr al-Bared camp are living on foreign aid. The IHH extended urgent aid to the region to improve the life conditions of the refugees escaping civil conflicts and to meet their basic needs. The foundation delivered aid worth of $200,000 to 4,500 refugee families in Nahr al-Bared, where 35,000 refugees reside.

Aid packages containing cooking oil, sugar, tea and pulses were distributed to the families. They were gratified and expressed their thanks to charitable Turkish people over the aid. The same families had been delivered urgent aid worth $200,000 in 2007, bringing the amount of total aid extended to the region over the last two years to $400,000.
