500 cataract patients in Sierra Leone to regain their vision
A total of 500 cataract patients in Sierra Leone will regain their vision following surgeries to be jointly funded by the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation and Islamic Development Bank.

Some 170 cataract patients in the country have already regained their vision so far following surgeries carried out by Turkish and African doctors.
Turkish and African doctors have carried out 170 cataract surgeries in the eye clinic in Lansor. After serving in the clinics established in the region for one week, Turkish doctors returned home. The rest of the surgeries will be carried out by the local doctors to reach the number 500.
