Since April 15, 2023, internal conflicts have been ongoing in Sudan. 25 million people, including 14 million children, are in need of humanitarian assistance. Due to food shortages, millions of children are at risk of death.
IHH and the Kuwaiti organization KSR sent a humanitarian aid ship containing 150 containers to Sudan. The ship carries shelter, food, and hygiene supplies.
Speaking at the send-off ceremony, KSR General Manager Abdulaziz Al Abyed said, “First of all, I would like to emphasize that our assistance will continue without discrimination based on religion, language, or race. These aid efforts have been organized in cooperation with IHH. We would like to thank both our government and our people for their support of this organization. Additionally, we extend our thanks to the Republic of Türkiye officials, the Sudanese government, and IHH for their support in enabling this ship to depart from Türkiye.”

Emre Kaya, Deputy Chairman of IHH, said, “Thank Allah, we have gathered here today to send another ship to one of the oppressed regions of the world. We thank the KSR management who came here from Kuwait, all the participants, and especially the Kuwaiti people and our valuable donors who supported us in gathering these aid supplies.”

Sudan’s Ambassador Nadir Al Tayyib stated, “I am very happy to be here with you today. I would like to thank the Turkish people, IHH, and the Kuwaiti people. This war has raised great awareness for us. We are grateful that you have not forgotten us. I would also like to convey the message of our government: In these difficult times, we greatly need such aid.”
