Sudanese Health Minister thanks IHH
Sudanese Health Minister Tabita Botros Shokai, thanked IHH that enabled 12 thousand and 173 Sudanese cataract patients reach the light after operations.

Africa Cataract Project of our foundation that participated in the International Eye Congress arranged in Khartoum, the capital of Sudan highly attracted the attention of Sudanese health authorities.

Sudanese Health Minister Tabita Botros Shokai visiting introduction stand for Cataract Project, took information about the cataract operations in 10 African countries. Minister Tabita Botros Shokai thanked IHH for coming from Turkey and enabling thousands of Sudanese cataract patients reach the light after the operations for free.

In the Sudan Eye Congress, IHH’s Cataract Project was introduced, too. In the notices presented in the congress FAKO operations conducted in the project surgery room were shown.

In the congress that the latest statistics and developments about the project was presented, the visitor oculists who came from Sudan and other neighbor countries were informed detailed about the activities of IHH, Humanitarian Relief Foundation in the region. Eye Congress was very fruitful for IHH.

The mobile soup kitchen dispatched by the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation to Ukraine, which is under Russian bombardment, departed from Istanbul. The soup kitchen was intended to provide food to 30,000 people each day. In addition, three truckloads of humanitarian supplies provided to Ukraine by the IHH in recent weeks have been delivered to war victims.
