Sudan's Internal Displacement Crisis: They Desperately Need Support
The ongoing civil war between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has been going on for over a year. In the country where more than 11 million people have been forced to migrate to different locations within and outside the country, 25 million people, including 14 million children, are in need of urgent humanitarian aid.

According to the latest UN reports, a total of more than 11 million people have been displaced, 7.3 million of them within the country. According to official figures, more than 15,500 civilians have lost their lives due to the conflicts, and more than 30,000 people have been injured. This data indicates that the real number of fatalities is much higher.
25 Million People in Need

Currently more than 25 million people are in need of humanitarian aid in the country. Since the health system in Sudan has almost completely collapsed, cholera cases, among others, are rapidly increasing. Nearly 18 million people are also facing acute food insecurity. Security problems, looting incidents, fuel shortages, bureaucratic obstacles, and network problems in the country are the major obstacles to the delivery of humanitarian aid.

Education has also been greatly disrupted due to the civil war. More than 19 million children in Sudan, equal to one in every three children, are unable to go to school. If the war continues in this manner, there is a concern that no child will be able to go to school in the coming months.
