Medical trailer offers service to Syrian refugees
A medical trailer of IHH is offering free-of-charge health services to Syrians refugees.
Syria 01.09.2012

The medical trailer that was fully-equipped by IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation in cooperation with Qatar Charity, one of Qatar’s biggest humanitarian organizations, is providing Syrian refugees with free-of-charge health services. 

The trailer is stationed in Reyhanlı District of Hatay Province and accepts about 80 patients a day between 09:30 and 23:00. The patients examined at the trailer are also provided with necessary medication.

IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation and Union of Syrian Medical Relief Organizations have been jointly carrying out the medical project for the past two months.

Otolaryngology, internal medicine, gynecology, cardiology specialists and general practitioners are working at the medical trailer.

As a result of the collaboration between the İHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs' Syria Cross-Border Humanitarian Fund (SCHF), a total of 371,475 USD in cash assistance and 3,450 food parcels were distributed over the period of 9 months to 1,150 families living in the Racu region of Afrin district in Syria.
